The heart and soul of Smart Pad is two special features: Day Manager, and HyperNotes. There's never been anything like either, in a productivity tool:
DAY MANAGER
The one-touch slider shows the start and end times of your day. Below it is your interactive task list. Tasks that are highlighted will fit into your day. Faded tasks will not fit. Move the slider back and forth to lengthen or shorten your day, and watch which tasks get highlighted or faded. Or drag tasks up into the highlighted area to make sure they get done today. For the first time ever, you can plan, prioritize, and reorganize VISUALLY, INTERACTIVELY and INTUITIVELY. Day Manager also places your current tasks directly into the Day Calendar, so you can see where they fit in with your Appointments. Tasks that are too large for a block of free time are automatically split. Now that's adaptive logic.
HYPER NOTES
Take notes associated with any day. Then highlight any word, phrase, sentence or paragraph. Automatically create a new task, appointment or follow-up. The item is automatically linked to the notes page associated with that date. You can view a summary of all Hyper Note items associated with any note, and you can view links from any Hyper Note item to other associated items or notes. It’s all interconnected.

• “View”s button toggles full Month, Week or Day calendars with an option to show any of the Tabbed Folders next to it: Tasks, Lists, Notes, or History.
• Tasks are automatically integrated into your calendar. They even fit and split around your appointments.
• The Tasks list allows complete control over prioritizing. Just drag tasks up and down.
• Sort tasks by Due date or creation date, or use GTD features such as “starred” tasks to select exactly what you want to do tomorrow.
• Synchronize events and alerts with Google Calendar, and tasks with Toodledo.
• View a summary of all tasks/events/follow-ups created from a Note. View a summary of all notes associated with any task or event.
• Time any task, event or phone call. Export a report of timed items to Excel.
• Backup your entire database via Email.
• Check-list feature allows you to create multiple recurring lists. Great for shopping, packing for a trip, or just listing items that you don’t want to forget.
• Supports repeating events and repeating tasks.
• Easy to use "bouncing ball" date navigator.
• Create multiple calendars and color them with four different color pallets. Nice!
• Multi-select feature allows you to perform quick actions on multiple items.
• History view shows all items that have been completed.
