iblipped - Today's cellular phone network provider's carrier maps are often out of date and/or inaccurate. The iBlipped site aims at gathering volunteered cell phone signal strengths to point out strengths and dead zones in cell phone providers coverage.
By taking users GPS and measuring their cell signal at regular intervals we can see just how good the coverage is.
Works for both CDMA and UMTS carriers
Signal Strength mapping using GPS
Time or Distance based based recording
Ability to halt/resume gathering
Displays cell site information
Upload signal strength to a website for analysis
Uploading data through email.
