  Wii Play the Drums

With the addition of the Wii Play the Drums into the roster of available applications that use the Wiimote, we can now safely say that there has never been a better time to make a Wiimote rock band. All you have to do is combine the Wiitar, the Wii Loop Machine, and this Wiimote drum kit, and you have the makings of a full-fledged rock group.

This is the first released (but unfinished) version of Evan X. Merz's Wiimote Drum Sampler, otherwise known as Wii Play the Drums. With it, you can play with the different parts of an entire drum set using one Wiimote, and even replace the drums with other samples to make your own special instrument.

In any event you can find the file over at his website or download it from us. Just remember that you'll need a bluetooth adapter and Microsoft's .net Framework 2.0 for it to properly function, and you should be on your way to playing the drums. Enjoy!

DSFretDSFret
DSFret Given a day to update something is quite an achievement. As Spag has released his homebrew music maker just yesterday, DSFret is now in a congratulatory level of v0.2. Here are notes on DSFret v0.2 from Spag himself: * As suggested, I've added bass fretboards. You can now switch between guitar / bass 4 / bass 5 / bass 6. Default is guitar
GuitaHelperGuitaHelper
GuitaHelper Guitargod1134 is back with a new version of GuitarHelper. While this new version doesn't include the much-awaited tab reader just yet ("it was quite buggy and not all the text was printed so i decided to just remove it"), it does come with its own set of new features. Changelog * Completely redone code
DSFretDSFret
DSFret Strumming in with yet another update is Spag. His DSFret homebrew is now not only an application that allows you to learn guitar frets easily, but is already also a game in itself. The third version of his homebrew has included two game modes: one a quiz, another a card game. Interesting development here. Check out the full changelog for DSFret v0

Piano Station Portable 1.0  PSP homebrew developer eculewatt (creator of the Modded PSP Flash Player) dropped by the QJ.Net Forums earlier to announce the release of Piano Station Portable 1.0. This application is a piano player, and is mapped to the PSP's button controls. User can play seven basic keys: A,B,C,D,E,F, and G

PS-CoverFlow Remember sony_psp_player's Coverflow for the PSP? There's a similar homebrewed program out right now, PS-CoverFlow by animefreak345. The newer application uses part of sony_psp_player's Coverflow code, but looks different in its own right. Unlike Coverflow, the PS-CoverFlow has a black background
DSFretDSFret
DSFret f you're tired of playing air guitar and want to try the real thing this homebrew app from Spag is for you. He calls it DSFret v0.1 and it features the different notes on the fretboard. It allows you to revise every fret one after the other or in random order. You can also choose between International (A, B, C, ...) and Latin (Do, Re, Mi) output

DSMetronomeDSMetronome
DSMetronome It is a metronome. For those who don't know about, it's a tool to help practicising music. I haven't seen any on DS. Since I think it's something very suitable for a DS I decided to build one by myself.
