  Calypso v1

Not getting enough space shooter action? Then you'll probably get your fix by playing homebrew developer TMNT's new game for the PlayStation Portable, Calypso version 1. This 2D space shooter is dev TMNT's first homebrew game coded in C.

How do you play the game? Calypso, also described by the dev as a "2D space shooter that depicts a cruel reality of the future," plays a bit like the another old homebrew game we've all come to love, Callisto - shoot the enemy block, collect power-ups so your guns get upgraded, and dodge incoming blocks. Why blocks? The game's still unfinished. TMNT's still looking for Gfx artists to help him out on the game.

Currently, the 2D homebrew game's using the graphics lib, but the dev promises the next version of Calypso will be OSlib. This release also contains only the training mode of the game. Don't think though that it's not worth trying - this writer was only able to get to part 4 of the training mode, and was only able to dodge nine really fast incoming blocks.

Here are the controls for the game as provided in the readme:

* X - choose an option in the menu
* [] - shoot normal weapon
* / - shoot special weapon
* Analog/Directional Pad - spaceship movement
* Start - go back to the menu

Homebrew developer TMNT encourages you all to let him know if you encounter bugs in Calypso.

DestoryDust  You migh remember the 13-year old French homebrew developer shadow77340 who provided us with PSPsokoban. After focusing on that game, he came up with a new release known as DestroyDust. Basically, you control mini vessels or destroyers in this game and the objective is to eliminate the dust enemies. Being the fine developer that he is, DestroyDust v0
