For a coder who used Lua for the first time, this isn't shabby at all. Developer yaustar admits that he only came up with this Lua RTS prototype to distract himself from his main project (no word on that yet, but we'll keep you posted if ever there are updates). Yup, this is only a side project.
He says he was also trying to learn Lua for future projects, and he was also trying to see is the LuaPlayer can handle an RTS (Real Time Strategy) system on its won. At the time of this prototypes release, the developer has tried the game only on LuaPlayer in Windows and not on the PSP. But those who've tried it though say it's awesome.
Only the basic scrolling and radar work in this program at the moment, but since a lot of the framework is there, the new features will be easy to add. The graphics were taken from CS Strategized and the menu graphic was from Starcraft Lua RTS. The codes used was the developers own.
