Homebrew developer SamuraiX rolled out a new version of the game-maker application for the PlayStation Portable OpenBOR.

This specific release bumps the program up to version 2.1313. Aside from the compatibility with the Sony handheld, OpenBOR was also made to run on platforms Windows, DC, and GP2X.

Here's what the coder had to say about the PSP build of the application:

For PSP users, I've created a new PRX (based off CrazyC's 3.71 exception logic over at PS2Dev. Thank you for sharing your source!) called exception.prx to report critical bugs that crash the PSP.

When this happens please report the log file to my website ASAP so it can get resolved quickly. Though I haven't seen an exception in almost one year, one never knows when it could happen.

SamuraiX also reminded everyone that the minimum requirement for OpenBOR v2.1313 is a PSP unit running on CFW 3.71 M33-4. Also, updating to the new version will make your previous saves obsolete.

48 Hour Pong (Updated) for Firmware 1.0 Developers, like all of us, do tend to get itchy when something just won't work right, or something has to look better than it should in the current 'brew they're working on. We won't blame Insomniac197 for coming up with one update after another so quickly

Double Skill Motion Talk about a giveaway! Mollusk recently updated PAlib with a bunch of new games and ports that will work with the fabled DSMotion Card. The DSMotion Card allows any DS unit to sense motion, which makes it act a little bit like a Wiimote or the SIXAXIS, except you're playing the game on the controller itself

Look Out! verCF01 First of all, we'd like to congratulate developer Tanos. This gamer we're reporting about is reportedly the coder's very first work, titled Look Out ver CF01. This Lua-coded homebrew game will have you trying to move a ball to the right side of the screen. Not quite that simple when we add you have to dodge incoming bullets while you're doing that

Bumper Car MayhemBumper Car Mayhem
Bumper Car Mayhem Any homebrew coding competition brings a lot of good things to the community. For one, it gives users several good quality games that can be played on their PlayStation Portable (PSP) units. There are other reasons we can think of but the most important one is that these events serve as venues where coders can showcase their talents
