  DGEN

We just got word from the QJ forums that Syn-z has released the source code for version 1.70 of DGEN, the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive emulator for the PSP. This should allow people to work on their own little tweaks to the DGEN code to make for personal versions of the DGEN emulator, or as reference material for use on their own works.

Up on Syn-z's webpage, there's a small note which, according to Japanese translation sites, says that the source code is essentially free for people to use. The next bit is a little tough to decipher though, so we're putting up the whole message for you to read:

Alteration and feel free to do so.

Published content is a problem, or if you have any hope of applause button from the bottom of the Web.

However, this and other questions about what is accepted so please be patient.

That being said, you can try sending him a message through the "Clap!" link at the bottom of the webpage if you have any concerns or questions about the code. Enjoy!
