ONScripter is a free software implementation of the video novel creation utility NScipter, under the GPL license. If you're not familiar with NScripter, it's an engine created by Naoki Takahasi, that is used to create visual novels or interactive fiction. Usually anime-style art is used to depict the characters and to tell the story. The game doesn't require you to do much, but push a button to keep the text, graphics and sound moving. The style of gameplay has been compared to the popular Choose Your Own Adventure novels. Popular visual novels include Narcissu, Operation Sanctuary and Tsukihime.
Ogapee has just release it's latest built for ONScripter. The site is written in Japanese and I just used an online page translator to get as much as I can.
