KW's PSNPatch is a popular tool designed to thwart PSN bans. As part of this most recent build, there is a new OFW mode that's designed to exclusively run retail discs while connected to the PSN. Homebrew use is not allowed, but it's an almost sure thing that you won't get banned while this mode is active. Second to that is simple swapping of the PS2 emulator between ISO and Classics modes.
