Uncharted Lands - It's always refreshing to find homebrew developers willing to take a stab at the RPG genre for the handheld. PSProgramer recently released the second version of Uncharted Lands and added a ton of new features, making it much more playable than before.
The first version featured a simple demo, which simply showed a couple of maps and the general proof of concept for the game. The newly added features, however, give Uncharted Lands more identity and shows great promise in the direction it's heading.
Here are the details of the new features added in Uncharted Lands v0.2:
* 5 outside Maps and 4 indoor maps maps
* fixed pause menu
* main menu - (fully functional)
* items shop interface
* weapons shop interface
* npc characters - (moving characters, functions have been made, and will be fully implemented next release)
* beginning night time function (it's function is made and is in the file, just hasn't been activated in the game because it lags too much)
* early sign reading/talking function
* state system created, and functional
PSProgramer promises even more amazing features in the next update. These include additional maps, a battle system, and a whole lot of other stuff. It's definitely shaping up to be one interesting looking game, so we hope the next version is released very soon.
Uncharted Lands includes a short documention describing a few details regarding the game. Please make sure to read though it before installing it into your handheld.
