Here's an interesting little program that Albert emailed us about earlier today. One of the best selling points of 2.60 Firmware is the ability to stream RSS feeds to your PSP via your WiFi connection. Now that feature is even more useful with the iTunes RSS Server which will allow you to stream MP3 and AAC files to your PSP

After a couple hours of learning pattern matching, table functions, and strings functions in Lua, I've resolved a couple issues with the old version.
First, self-closing tags were not supported in the original LuaXML

I've got a new version! The URL for the RSS feed no longer has to be hard-coded into the Lua script. It can parse a URL, grab the IP address for the domain, connect, and download a file. Actually, it can download as many files as you want, one after the next

The new version allows you to enter in your own list of RSS feeds, download them all, and save them to a text file. It also allows you to choose how many enclosures to download, and whether or not you want to download them with the feeds.

Webnab
Danzel, from our forums, has released a new homebrew program with, probably, the craziest name we have seen yet. Webnab v0.1 ( Why Eat Bananas, Not A Browser) is a program that allows you to read front page news from a limited number of news type sites. Currently it supports PSPUpdates.qj.net (Parses front page), Slashdot (rss feed), and apple (rss feed)
PSP News Reader
Gary13579 has released an update to his RSS News Reader for PSP. He has updated his application to handle a few bug fixes, and separate files for each XML feed. Here's what he had to say:
