Sviewer english version S80is a simple but powerful application to read multi-language text files. It works fine with plain text files or with gzip-compressed texts.
If you compress text files with gzip compressor, the result is up to 90% extra space on your Symbian device (yep, more stories and novels to read)! Since decompression is very fast there is no visible delay opening such files.
From the other hand you can work with gzipped files under any OS: Windows, Linux, Mac OS and so on. For instance you can use WinRAR application under Windows OS.
Real multi-language feature is supported by font included into the distribution. Font called ''AXMA Unicode 8'' contains about 40000 glyphs for most of the world languages. In fact you can read Runes or Japanese text with non-localized device!
Five levels zoom helps you to find the most ergonomic and comfortable reading mode.
The following code pages (AKA "charsets") are supported:
- UTF-8 for multi-language texts;
- Latin for English and European texts;
- CP-1251 and KOI8-R for Cyrillic texts.
