Retro is a Today plugin that displays an analog clock, similar to those wall clocks.
Comes with an editor to be run on your PC, called REdit, that enables the end user to assemble custom clock files and edit existing ones, thus creating an open skin system (for more information on how to make a skin, look at this short tutorial).
Retro uses multiple semi-transparent images for its compositing, placing them in up to 30 layers. This makes possible a wide range of effects, including superficial glass translucency, transparent clocks without background, chronograph-style clocks, and so on.
Main Features:
* completely skinnable
* skins work like photoshop files (with layers)
* antialiased-grade graphics quality, better than alternatives (namely spbclock)
* can be centered, left, right aligned with a margin
* can create stunning effects: canvas shadows, hand shadows, transparent clocks, glass translucency, semi-transparency, etc...
* real-time second hand motion (for fast PDAs)
Installation:
- Download the CAB file, run it, and install into internal memory.
- Put additional clock files (skins) created by others into the install dir, then you can choose them in the plugin options. The CAB file already comes with 3 skins you may like or not.
- You're ready to go.
