MiaBella Markets is a program for visualizing the stock performance of a large number of companies over many different time horizons.
The program uses a rotating sphere to display color-coded simulated stock returns on over 400 companies. Moreover, by manipulating the screen, users can change the time period of stock performance anywhere from one day to one year.
Please note that this demo version uses hypothetical (i.e., simulated) stock market data and therefore cannot be used for trading or investment purposes. To encourage a version with real stock market data, please leave a note on this program's app market comment page.
Swipe your finger across the screen to rotate the globe and change which company's (fake) stock performance is detailed in the window at the bottom of the screen.
Move two fingers apart simultaneously to increase the time period of stock performance. As you do this, the globe changes to denote stock returns over longer time horizons.
Move two fingers together simultaneously to decrease the time period of stock performance down to one day.
Tap once on the screen to start a demonstration of the rotating globe over different time periods. Tap once again to stop the demonstration.
The "Invert" button controls whether stocks with negative or positive returns come to the forefront of the screen. The default setting is that stocks with positive returns are positioned farther out from the center of the globe and therefore come to the front of the display. Switch this control to invert the display in order to highlight stocks with negative returns.
The return calculation buttons determine the type of stock performance displayed in the rotating graphic. By default, stock performance is displayed unadjusted. But you can change this control to view stock performance in excess of the market return, or stock performance in excess of the sector return.
