Kleio Flashcards Free is a flashcard system that works with Windows Phone 7 and Windows.
It uses a sophisticated spaced repetition system, which tracks the difficulty of each flashcard and adjusts it as you learn. Cards are scheduled for particular days, and difficult cards are scheduled sooner, so you see them more often. This way, you can study a large number of flashcards efficiently. Kleio also includes a simple cram mode, which allows you to quickly study all the flashcards in your library.
If you use the Kleio mobile app together with the the (completely free!) Kleio app for Windows, they sync automatically. This lets you use a full size keyboard to make rich, formatted flashcards on your computer, and then study on whichever device you like. You can study offline, and Kleio will sync when you have an internet connection. To give Kleio for Windows a try, download it at www.kleio.info.
The app is powered by an online flashcard exchange system, also found at the Kleio website. This makes it easy to use other people's flashcards, in addition to making your own.
Notes: This is the free ad-supported version of Kleio. There is also a paid version, if you want to get rid of the ads. You can uninstall this version whenever you like and switch to the paid version. Also, Kleio uses Google accounts for user management, so you need a Google account to use it. If you don't already have one, Google accounts are free and easy to make.
