Forbidden Word - Similar to the Hasbro game "Taboo", Forbidden Word is a family game in which teams cooperate to guess as many words as possible.
Each team is given a minute to try and guess words. The Clue Giver must provide hints to the Guesser without saying any one of the forbidden words. If the Guesser says the word, then the team gets a point. If the Clue Giver accidentally says a forbidden word, the team loses a point. The first one to 30 points wins!
Forbidden Word is a great game to play with family and friends.
For example:
Word: "Bing"
Forbidden Words: "number", "search", "Google", and "Microsoft"
Possible Clue: "The company that manufactured this phone also built this decision engine"
Word: "Spiderman"
Forbidden Words: "superhero", "Parker", "web", "friendly", "Toby"
Possible Clue: This is a Marvel comic about a New York geek with arachnid powers.
Word: "Soda"
Forbidden Words: "Dr. Pepper", "Mtn. Dew", "root beer", "Coke", "Pepsi"
Possible Clue: What is your favorite carbonated beverage?
