DonCal (DA) is a simple, colorful and small 8 digit DA calculator (DA = Desk Accessories) and is not a hack and therefore doesn't need Teal Master or X-Master.
DA's are little applications that you launch while you're in another application. For example, you might be writing something in Memo Pad and have to make a quick calculation -->> no problem, just launch DonCal while you're still in Memo Pad (you don't need to exit!).
How to use.
DonCal pops up over the active application and when you are finished with your calculation, you are back to your application with just one tap. You can exchange data with your application if it supports copy and paste, or if it has an input field. Numbers and operations can also be entered with graffiti. It is more convenient to use this simple mathematical calculator than the built in calculator as you don't have to exit the current application you're working on.
You have 2 screens to work with. The main screen i.e. where you tap on the number/buttons etc and a mini version where all of the digit input is done by using graffiti i.e. writing the numbers/digits (see below). You switch between the two by tapping on the word "CAL" on the main display screen and tapping on the word "wide" when you're on the mini display screen. Tapping once on the calculated result (display area) copies it to your clipboard and tapping on the word "DON" will conveniently insert the calculated result directly to the text field of the current application that you have open in the background and then exit DonCal.
You can move the DonCal window anywhere on the screen by tapping & holding on the word "DON" on the left hand side of the calc for the main calc window and dragging to where you want it to be or tapping & holding the display area and dragging. The selected operator (e.g. +, -, X, MC etc) button stays highlighted until another operator button is selected.
