Those who enjoy the idea of tinkering with their PSPs, but are too scared of doing it may enjoy this issue of AcidMod's AcidMag. In the fourth issue of AcidMag they feature a nifty application called the Virtual PSP Modder.
It basically allows you to virtually disassemble and reassemble a model of a PSP, including various modding tools and even colorful faceplates you can fit into the virtual PSP. It even details a step by step tutorial on how the different tools work.
According to the issue, the developers are working on the first expansion pack for the application, which includes additional features like new faceplates, buttons and more LED's for the PSP. You can probably learn a lot using this application on how you want to mod your own PSP without running the risk of permanently damaging it if you consider yourself a technological jinx.
You can follow the links on the issue for a download of the application itself. In the meantime, enjoy a good read with this issue of AcidMag.
