King James Version Apocrypha (KJVA) The Apocryphal or Deuterocanonical books were written in the time between the Old and New Testaments and include additions to the books of Esther and Daniel.
The nation of Israel respected the Apocryphal books but never accepted them as books of the Hebrew Bible. The early Christian church debated the status of the books but few early Christians believed they belonged in the canon of Scripture. The New Testament books accepted as canon (or forming part of the Holy Scriptures) quote from the Old Testament in many places but there are no quotes made to the Apocryphal books. In addition there are many proven errors in the Apocryphal books.
