Prog Reso Swap-this program enables you to easily switch individual applications on your Pocket PC Windows 2003 SE between low-resolution QVGA and high-resolution VGA. This is only useful for Windows Mobile 2003 "SE" (Second Edition), and users of VGA Pocket PCs like Toshiba e800. You do not need to restart your Pocket PC after changing an Apps resolution, you only need to quit and restart that App. This is particularly useful for applications that are really nice in VGA, but have not been upgraded to use the right API and still have some problems that require you to switch back to QVGA occasionally because they do not support Full VGA. Its main advantages which makes the difference with SE_VGA or ozVGA are as follows:
- You do not need to restart your Pocket PC after changing resolution, you only need to quit and restart that App.
- You can control resolution for individual applications and also don't need to hard/soft restart. Background:
Basically, some applications have the ability to display VGA graphics (like Adobe Reader), but Win03 SE will only run them in QVGA because they havent been upgraded to include the new Win03 SE API. This tool will trick Win03 SE to recognize that these applications are indeed VGA. Note that since the applications havent truly been upgraded, sometimes they do weird things in VGA. ProgResoSwap uses the MUI file hack described at http://www.pc-counselor.8m.com/How_to/index.htm#doublepixeling. This program basically just adds a nice GUI that makes it easy to do and manage. For any app that you choose high-res, it will copy the MUI file hack for that app.

PLToggle PLToggle is a small app that toggles the display orientation back and forth to the rotation of your choice, without the need for the g-sensor.
The default installation includes the settings screen (available from your start menu), and the application itself, which is available via a long-hold of the call button
ScreenLock for Pocket PC ScreenLock for Pocket PC is a very small and handy tool to turn off a PPC's display, and lock all the hardware keys, including power button. It'll keep your PPC alive even without any program running. It'll help you to save battery power while streaming or downloading big files, or playing music
KeypadLedControl KeypadLedControl By default the keypad lights turn off after 10 seconds when the device comes out of standby. This little application keeps the light on while the display is on
rk-Bk-Light Rk-bk-Light is a backlight command line switcher
G-Light G-Light - Adjust your backlight levels according to the values your light sensor measures.
Because I wasn't satisfied with the automatic backlight adjustment of my Diamond (it was always too bright for my needs), I made G-Light.
With this tool you can adjust your backlight levels according to the values your light sensor measures..
VJCandela VJCandela - Turn you phone into a super bright torch!
This program is used to permit control of the flash light on the Universal family of HTC Phones, to allow it to be used as a torch etc.
Note: this may cause damage to your hardware over prolonged periods! I don't see why it should, but use at your own risk
PocketForce PocketForce - PocketForce is an application that turns your PocketPC (Compaq iPAQ in particular) into a $500 flashlight.
It fills up the display with white color and turns the backlight to the maximum brightness setting (iPAQ only). Tap on the display to turn it into a black mirror
The Tribe 2 for Pocket PC The Tribe 2 for Pocket PC - Life of a hideaway tribal village goes all plain to see. A small thatch hutment is pitched in the jungles beneath a dormant volcano. Nor chucklesome aborigines all rapt in hunting and gathering coconuts, neither you can yawn through the seen. After sunset the neigbourhood resounds with a slam bang clatter of tom-toms
AutoLight AutoLight - HTC Topaz (Diamond 2) auto adjust backlight function is a good idea with a not very good implementation. It must be said to HTC excuse that the light sensor is very noisy, especially at low light conditions.
Some alternatives do exist but are not very good or are Compact Framework application (not a very good idea for background application)
