Phonetracker Locator -transforms a Windows Mobile 5.0 / WM6 PPC Phone with built in GPS receiver or external Bluetooth GPS receiver into a GPS/GSM tracking device.
Received SMS are checked for location statements by Phonetracker4Free and transferred to Google Maps Mobile independently. Google Maps Mobile displays the location on a map or by satellite images, and takes over the routing to the destination if necessary. To request a position report only send the text message *PHONETRACKER* Request to the mobile phone where Phonetracker Locator is running.

Functional principle
A software is installed on you mobile phone or PC which is able to read incoming text messages. The moveable object gets a GPS/GSM tracking device, which transmits the location directly to your mobile or PC by SMS. If the text message contains a position statement, Phonetracker software selcts the position information and forward Lat and Lon to a Mapping software or a navigation software and the location of the GPS/GSM tracking device will be showed on the screen.
Advantages
- No location service needed. The position information will be sent to your mobile phone or PC directly.
- No positioning fees. The only charge is the cost of the text message.
- Sensitive information are better protected. You keep sensitive information to yourself on your mobile phone or PC.
- A route plan to your bearing point is available for mible applications. Through linking the Phonetracker sosftware with a navigation software you can let yourself be navigated to the positioned object immediately.
