Mobile PlanRoom works as follows:
1. Download the free version of Mobile PlanRoom.
2. Using your computer’s web browser, open an account at BuilditLive.com using your credit card. Just click the ‘Buy Build it Live’ button and follow the simple instructions.
3. Upload your drawings and other documents under the ‘Contract Documents.’ It’s easy, for example, click on the ‘Contract Documents’ tab, highlight the folder you want to put the drawings into, click the ‘Upload Documents’ button and follow the instructions. In minutes your drawings will be available to you and anyone you invite to your project via an internet browser, or the Mobile PlanRoom iPad App.
4. On the iPad, click on the Mobile PlanRoom icon. Enter your BuilditLive username (email address) and password.
5. Select the project you want to view drawings from.
6. Scroll through thumbnail images of all your files.
7. When you find the one you want to view, click on the thumbnail image and it will load into the full screen of the iPad. Now you can move around the image using the touch screen, and zoom in and out. For large files, give the iPad a moment to redraw the drawing once you zoom or move it.
The Mobile PlanRoom App is a terrific productivity and cost saving tool for engineers, architects, and contractors to be able to access drawings in the field, without the need to carry expensive and bulky drawings.
