After a somewhat lengthy break, Orion has returned with a major update to GameSonic Manager. This one plays PS2 and PSP games!
Orion's GameSonic Manager is one of the most actively developed ways to play backups on a modded PS3. In addition to high PS3 game compatibility, this build packs in support for PSP and PS2 games as well. The latter requires a system reboot before titles can load. It should be noted that this file is only meant to be a clean install over no other versions of GameSonic. For an update file that works with 2.35 or 2.40, go here. Starting PS2CLASSIC through the integration of managers PS2CLASSIC modified by me to work with gamesonic manager (need a reboot of the console after selecting a PS2 game 'cause you have to reset the payload mounted by the manager
Starting directly from PSP ISO Gamesonic Manager (thanks to the source of Multiman and Webman of Deank and Aldo Vargas for port managers based on iris)

DO NOT INSTALL THE VERSION "UPD" SEPARATELY FROM VERSION 2:40 BECAUSE THERE ARE NO DIFFERENT ALL FILES IN PKG, THEN install it OVER VERSION 2:35 O 2.40 (NO MORE BECAUSE IT WAS SUFFERING FROM A BUG)
