Iris Manager - Since Estwald has nailed down the backup playing abilities of Iris Manager, version 2.55 focuses solely on file management. Say hello to NTFS support!
Iris Manager has been a favorite on the PS3 scene since it began. In that time, it has remained up to date with the latest custom firmware releases and frequent system patches. Instead of simply trying to get newer games booted, version 2.55 goes a long way toward improving the app's bundled in file manager called Archive Manager. This revision features full read and write support of NTFS format drives, and adds a context menu that can be activated by hitting select. For those that want to keep track of their backups on larger capacity drives, 2.55 is a godsend. See the full release notes below!
IMPORTANT: After installing the PKG, restart the PS3, if Iris Manager was loaded before.
What's New in version 2.55 :
Added support for devices with NTFS partitions from "Archive Manager".
NOTE: Remember writing support is experimental and assume risks when using it: check with "chkdsk " to ensure that no data is lost or corrupted.
1) Plug in the device and wait 5 to 10 seconds for it to mount . If not, unplug and re-plug. Multiple devices can be plugged.
2) The partitions are displayed as "ntfs0:" to "ntfsX".
