Shards of Mideve - Book I: The Librarian's Apprentice The Shards of Mideve is a five book fantasy series by Jeremy Gottwig. It follows Tipti, a girl enamored with books and libraries, as she unravels the mysteries behind the rare books known as Troving Tomes and learns about their connection to Mideve itself.
The story takes place in the sky, among floating islands, airships, and clouds as far as the eye can see.

Three years ago, Tipti left her home to become the apprentice of the local librarian on remote Elleinad island. As a gift before parting, her brother gave her a mysterious book that had been in their family's protection for generations.
Tipti's world changed the day the airship arrived. Only then did she begin to fathom the book's importance - or the lengths that some would go through to acquire it
