Inmate Suicide Watch for HanDBase - This is a database and form used to collect information by our Suicide Prevention Officers. These Officers roam our suicide dorm and had to hand write information about the inmates activity every 10 to 15 minutes on as many as 24 inmates. The paper work was never ending. I was given the task to find a better way to record this information. I turned to the IPAQ Pocket PC and Handbase forms for help. This form allows the officer to click on a few fields and move on to the next inmate. The date and time are automatically recorded when the form is started. We then store the database on our network for easy lookup. This form is totally unlocked. We password protect ours so no one can change the submitted times, dates, and activities.
