StormNavigator allows you use certain keys (Volume Up/Down keys, Convenience keys) to navigate on BlackBerry Storm and Storm2 phones, in similar way to the traditional trackwheel. While touchscreen might be convenient in most time, this alternate navigation method proves to be useful, or sometimes even necessary:
* when the contents on the screen are too crowded for finger press
* when one-hand operation is needed
* at times when the screen doesn't respond to touch
Using StormNavigator, you can navigate up/down/left/right by pressing (and brief holding) Volume Up/Down keys. You can also choose one or more of the four click-to-execute operations:
* left convenience key
* right convenience key
* press and hold Volume Up key for certain time
* double click Volume Up key (with limitation, please see details on StormNavigator main screen)
Any of the above options are easily configurable.
NOTE: All the StormNavigator functionalities are available in Ottafone's PhoneBasics (from PhoneBasics main screen, select menu PB Settings; then select StormNavigator). It is advised that you don't enable StormNavigator functions on both PhoneBasics and StormNavigator. If you do so, duplicate navigation behaviour may take place.
