Unplugged enables your developers to add new mobile XPages—which act as views and forms for their current data—to existing applications. And, because you can use the standard Domino Designer tools within the standard Eclipse IDE, there is no need to learn a new and complex mobile application development platform.
Unplugged includes a local data store on the BlackBerry device, so any applications you build will be reliable and resilient, even when your wireless signal is weak. Notes databases and information are stored on the BlackBerry itself, and updates are made via a mobile sync process with the Domino server. So end users can access data, such as customer information, from anywhere – with a familiar, easy-to-navigate user interface.
