GPSBot - This small application seems to solve the problem with TomTom navigator 7, iGO8 and other navigation programs, that shows a position of several meters back from the real one in some new devices.
Simply copy the file to the folder where the navigation program executable resides and launch this application instead of the real program. To configure GPSBot, it has a GPSBot.txt file with the name of the program to be launched between colons. As an example the zip contains a file with "TomTom_Navigator.exe". This file also needs to be copied to the same folder than the executable in order to allow to have several copies for different programs.
The idea behind this file is that the lag is caused due to the full CPU usage of the GPS navigator that leaves few or even none CPU time to the GPS drivers. This bot launches the GPS navigator program and then reduces its process priority. The bot unloads itself from memory when the navigator exits.
GPSBot was tested and works OK on HTC Diamond, but it could be very device dependent. In any case you don't loose anything for trying.
