JPEGView for Palm OS - Tired of difficult-to-use, bulky, and slow image viewers? Do yown a handheld and a digital camera that uses the same medibut always wished to be able to view the images quickly and easily? Here's your answer.
JPEGView attempts to be the fastest, smallest, and easiest to use JPEG image viewer available for PalmOS – without breaking tstandard PalmOS User Interface Guidelines.
Though not as feature-packed as other applications of similar style, this application does exactly what it was designed to do – and that is… view JPEG images!
Future versions may include more features, however. Some of the planned features include:
Image scaling, other than 'always fit'. Currently, JPEGView attempts to fit every image within the view area, stretching or shrinking the image. Future options would include specific zoom sizes (¼, ½, 1x, 2x, 4x, etc.), and horizontal/vertical fit.
Slideshow mode. Sometime we'll get around to adding this, but it would require a fair amount of effort (as the program wasn't designed to know about multiple files)
Clock/calendar mode. Have a beautiful background image you want to use while your handheld is in its cradle, doing nothing else but charging? We've taken a page from Sony on this one, and are in the process of adding it as this letter is being typed. Three clock styles, complete position customization, two calendar modes, and more. Combined with Slideshow mode, and cradle detection may make this feature an instant hit.
Other image formats… but that's a whole other program. (Check out our website for VFS QuickView and QuickAlbum…)
