MAIN FEATURES:
Alarm List: List all registered alarms.
You may remove any registered alarm from the system.
Via FlashInfo, you may find out all programs that registered system alarms.
Application Preferences List: List all application preferences in the Saved/Unsaved Preferences Database.
You may view the content of the application-preferences.
You may delete a single application-preferences or a group of application-preferences from the system.
After a certain time of use of the device, there are might be many orphaned perferences records left in the Saved/Unsaved Preferences Database.
Via FlashInfo, you may manually remove the useless preferences records from your device.
ExgMgr Registry List: List all registries of the Exchange Manager.
You may view the details of the registry.
You can unregister a registry from the system.
On some occasions, unhandled registry might cause the system to crash on some devices while a registered type of data is recieved.
Via FlashInfo, you may manually unregister a data type to avoid the device unstable.
Features List: List all registered Features.
File List: List all files in the Handheld / Expansion Card.
You may view the content of databases in the internal memory/files on the expansion card. If the file is on the expansion card, you may view the file in Hex View or Text View.
You may launch the application/DA/panel in the internal memory.
You may delete databases from the internal memory, even the database is protected or being opened.
You may view the content of File Stream databases in Text Viewer.
You may export the content of the selected FileStream DB to a plan text file.
Being opened database can not be deleted, you much close it before deleting it. Most file managers, including the built-in Launcher, are not able to detele the being opened database. Simular situation to the protected databases.
Via FlashInfo, you can easily delete the being opened databases or the system protected databases.
Font Map: List all available fonts of the system, including the fonts installed by the 3rd-party applications.
Memory: List the details of system memory.
You may view the content of the memory heap block.
You may Sync/Purge the DBCache on NVFS devices.
On some NVFS devices(such as Palm Treo 650), after running a certain number of applications, the DBCahce will become very fragmental. Users might encounter "memory not enough" or simular problems even still lots of free memory are available on the device. That's because the maximum free DBCache chunk is too small. This problem will cause many programs working inproperly, even STOP WORKING!
Via FlashInfo, you may purge the DBCache to increase the maximum free DBCache chunk.
Opened DB: List all opened databases.
You may close any opened databases via this program.
You may view the content of databases in the internal memory.
You may launch the application/DA/panel in the internal memory.
If you find or doubt a being opened application which makes your device running unstable, you may try closing it from opening status via FlashInfo to see whether the problem still exists or not.
Screen: List the details of the screen.
Trap Address: List the details of all 68K-based system traps.
Pop up in background: PalmOS dose not support multi-task. However, FlashInfo is designed to be used handily and effectively, so it's supposed to be able to be background activated from any well behavior programs.
You don't need to exit the current running application to launch FlashInfo. Save your time!
Note: This feature is only available in the PalmOS Garnet(PalmOS 5.X).
Launcher: Launch launchable programs(applications/panels/launchable databases/DAs) via FlashInfo.
Note: This feature is not available in the background running mode.
