BacklightDAs - instead of draining your battery because you THOUGHT you've turned off the backlight under that strong sunlight (and honestly, who can tell?) - download these DAs today!

You'll need a DA launcher to see and run these DAs once installed.

BacklightOnDA - Explicitly sets backlight to ON
BacklightOffDA - Explicitly sets backlight to OFF

Supported operating systems: Palm OS 3.x, Palm OS 4.x, Palm OS 5.x

Similar Software:

ReflectReflect
Reflect turns your Palm handheld into a mirror. It is packed with features and open source. The latest version includes: preferences that are saved between sessions, infrared beaming from within the application, Graffiti ShortCuts for all menu items, and monochrome and color support. Reflect is freeware released under the GNU General Public License (GPL)
GreenLightHackGreenLightHack
GreenLightHack is a HackMaster hack that reverses the polarity of the screen when the backlight is turned on (all white pixels become black and all black pixels become white). This has the effect of making the backlight on the old Palm models (Palm III and below) look like the new ones, and the backlight on the new ones (Palm IIIx and above) look like the old ones
FlashLightFlashLight
FlashLight is a simple application for the Palm OS for any device with a backlight
BrightnessDAsBrightnessDAs
BrightnessDAs - with a stroke of your finger (depends on the DA launcher you're using and the options you choose to invoke my DAs) your could quickly choose between minimum brightness (great for reading at night), low (~20%, for battery-conscious users ;), medium (50%, should be enough for most situations) or maximum (100%. The range above 50% up to 100% is superfluous)
Inmobile LighterInmobile Lighter
Inmobile Lighter - Mobile device lighter. Can you believe it? Take it on your PALM to concerts, night clubs, parties etc. Remember those concerts when you burnt your fingers when lighting a regular lighter? Or when the lighter didn't work? Or even when the wind used to constantly blow out your lighter? Well, those days are over
PalmMirrorPalmMirror
This is a simple mirror for palm and Sony Clie
PowerAppPowerApp
PowerApp - allows you to turn the Palm off or turn the backlight on or off by clicking on a large button. This is ideal for those with Palm V's that no longer have function power buttons (like me)
Backlight OnBacklight On
Backlight On will turn on the backlight of your m505 every time you turn your Palm on. Backlight On differs from the "official" Palm app in several ways: -There is never any user interface. It just works, and doesn't need to be configured. - It is much smaller (under 1Kb). - It turns on the backlight everytime the m505 is turned on
TorchlightTorchlight
Torchlight - Turn your palm into an emergency torchlight or hand-mirror. During a recent storm late one night recently our house lost all electrical power. Fortunately, I had my trusty palm on me and was able to find way around a completely dark house
Screen PrefsScreen Prefs
Screen Prefs sets the default screen color/gray scale depth and color scheme for your Palm OS device. It can handle screen modes from black and white (1-bit) all the way up to 16-bit color. This program shows up in your Palm Preferences application (known as Prefs) and not in the application launcher. However, it can be configured to show up in the application launcher

Other Software by developer «Yuval Melamed»:

SafeRecsSafeRecs
SafeRecs can either mask or hide your private records: At power-off: If shown, private records will be made safe, and 'Security' will be launched (see Q&A). Before 'normal' launching of applications under OS5+ When tapping the 'Find' silk-screen button (asks for password to continue, OS5+)
FindPrivateFindPrivate
FindPrivate - If you're using the 'Find' on your PalmOS device, and if you also hide/mask private records, you may miss some search results that you'd like to see. Not always you may remember to show private records prior to 'Find', and even if you do - it's a little bit cumbersome when you need your data fast
AutoOffExtenderAutoOffExtender
AutoOffExtender - AutoOff is when your device shuts itself off automatically after a specified period of user-inactivity, in order to conserve battery power. AutoOffExtender can detect when your device is powered on after being off for less than a few seconds, and extend the auto-off time for that session, assuming you need more time to watch the screen with no action
pTunesDApTunesDA
pTunesDA - displays the console window of Pocket Tunes if it's running in background & launches app if not. (pTunes already has its own user-friendly means to show this console window, but users wanted DA...;) pTunes/Pocket-Tunes is copyright of NormSoft, Inc
HoldSyncHoldSync
HoldSync allows you to HotSync by holding one of your hardware buttons. Enabled by default, it can't get any easier than that: Hold first hardware button for 8/10 of a second and release to HotSync. (You'll hear a confirmation sound after holding the button long enough) Disable by clearing the "Hold..
LensWarningLensWarning
LensWarning - Tested under TH55 only - may work for others too. LensWarning will remind you to cover the lens of your CLIE(R) device before running non-camera apps, or at power-off/on (configurable). The warning is by LED and optionally a sound, and won't interfere with other programs or power off
PowerBrightPowerBright
PowerBright allows you to toggle your brightness from maximum to minimum by holding the 'Power' button for a configured time. You may also hold the Page-Down/Up buttons too, to adjust the brightness down/up respectively - the step value and treshold are configurable for your convenience
