Battery Panel is a system preference panel which displays the current battery settings.
If your handheld supports user changeable batteries (Alkaline, NiCad), the battery type can be chosen. Also the warning and critical (shut off) voltages can be set. All settings will survive a soft reset.

BatteryStatus BatteryStatus - This simple application displays a message box when charging was completed for Kyocera QCP 6035 smartphone.
Since this equipment does not have any indication whether charging complted or not, I wrote this program.
This also has a stand alone UI to display type of battery and how much charge exists (in %)
NoLoBatHack NoLoBatHack replaces the System Battery Low Warning dialog by inverting an area of the screen and optionally displaying the battery voltage.
You can also blink the inverting area to really catch your attention.
You can set the warning area and the position of the battery voltage text via the configuration screens
