Torchlight - Turn your palm into an emergency torchlight or hand-mirror.
During a recent storm late one night recently our house lost all electrical power.
Fortunately, I had my trusty palm on me and was able to find way around a completely dark house.
You'd be surprised on how bright the backlight is!
The only problem was that I kept accidently tapping on buttons (to stop the palm from turning off automatically) that did things like delete records.
This software overcomes that problem by making the entire screen a big pushbutton that does nothing when tapped.
You can also use this software to turn the palm into an emergency hand-mirror when no other mirror is available.

PalmLight PalmLight - turns your Palm into a flashlight and emergency beacon.
PalmLight has two main modes, white light and red light.
· Use the white light option as a normal flashlight for seeing in the dark when a flashlight is not available.
· Use red light for night vision. Red light does not affect the dark adapted eye
Screen Prefs Screen Prefs sets the default screen color/gray scale depth and color scheme for your Palm OS device. It can handle screen modes from black and white (1-bit) all the way up to 16-bit color.
This program shows up in your Palm Preferences application (known as Prefs) and not in the application launcher. However, it can be configured to show up in the application launcher

IIIcLight IIIcLight is a small utility that, when run, turns your whole screen white (colour models) or blank (other models).
This allows you to use your Palm as a torchlight.
For non-colour models, simply run the program and turn on the backlight.
This works best if your Palm has an old-fashioned style backlight

This is faster and easier than holding down the power button.
For PDA's not fitted with a backlight, it lets you adjust the brightness.
