ToastTimer is an application intended to time speeches in ToastMasters meetings and / or contests.
The application lets the user choose between four different speech types.
· Regular
· Table Topics
· Advanced and
· Evaluation
The application allows the user to customize the intervals for each of the speech types by pressing the Settings icon on the start screen. If the user does not use the default time intervals, speeches are disqualified when the speech is 30 seconds shorter than the green interval, or 30 seconds longer than the red interval. For table topics, speeches are disqualified if they are shorter than a minute, or 30 seconds longer than the red interval.
The user also has the choice of setting the ‘vibration’ toggle. If set to ‘ON’, the phone gives a short buzz on every color transition.
Also, the user could set the ‘Flash On Disqualification’ switch to ‘ON’. When set, the application flashes a ‘Disqualified’ message whenever the speech duration is over / under the defined limits.
