Datacompression Suite contains DatacompressionCE and Datacompression Desktop/Server. DatacompressionCE is a set of 2 ActiveX/COM components for data compression for PocketPC. Datacompression Desktop/Server is the similar component for desktop/server. The desktop/server component has the same interface, same algorithms making it possible to compress on the PocketPC device and uncompress on desktop/server or the other way around.
It has never been easier to deploy client/server solutions that can save storage on your pocketPC and can save you bandwitdth, time, resources when you communicate between devices and desktop/server. You can compress in your client PDA and uncompress in your desktop/server VB/VC++/ASP application.
DatacompressionCE was programmed using ATLCE for PocketPC in eVC++ and Datacompression Desktop/Server was programmed using ATL for Windows NT/2000 in VC++ 6.0.
Datacompression Suite contains two ActiveX / COM components for PocketPC and two ActiveX/COM components for desktop/server, each of them providing a different algorithm of compression. The Zlib(CE) component uses Zlib (http://www.gzip.org/zlib) and Libbz2(CE) component uses libbz2 (http://sources.redhat.com/bzip2/). These are widely spread, public and highly portable algorithms with a long proven efficiency.
eVB and VB sample code is included both in trial and full version.
