TiltLander is a simple project to demonstrate accelerometer use in Android. It's just the Android Lunar Lander demo, with the accelerometer hooked up to control the tilt of the lander.
How to play
You have to land the lander on the landing pad, which is shown as a green line at the bottom of the screen. (The actual position changes at random.) Sounds easy, but:
* You must be moving slowly -- see your speed at the top middle of the screen
* You must be reasonably level
* You must be completely on the landing pad
You can control your descent by firing your engine. The engine always pushes you in the direction you are pointing, so by tilting the lander, you can also control your side-to-side movement. But watch out -- fuel is limited. Your fuel state is shown at the top left of the screen.
You can fire the engines by pressing the trackball button or touching the screen; control the angle of the lander by tilting the phone. But note: rotating the lander does nothing in itself; to move sideways, you need to point in the direction you want to go and fire the engine.
