mGeoNavigator This handy app is an intelligent touristic map-navigator of Bulgaria. It is useful to receive references if you have not a GPS device or if your GPS is not able to show maps. Its useful also in cases, when you need references for coordinates and altitudes of remote object in the map, references for the marching time, or if you have not a compass - for orientation using the direction of the sun. The midlet can mark your route and your track, and also can navigate the route by time. The midlet consists:
•interactive geographic maps,
•database of coordinates, altitudes and marching times
•tool for asimuth determination using the direction of the sun
•funcions for calculation of distances and positions according to the known objects
•functions for route and track marks
The maps are made in square projection, grid per 1 minute (elevation lines per 500 m or 100 m, in dependence of the midlet size). The map consists 35419 geographic points from Bulgaria and the neighbour parts of Macedonia, Serbia, Greece, Turkey and Romania: Bulgaria: 478 cities, 8476 villages, 45 resorts, 13199 peaks, 1006 mound-hills, 56 saddlebacks, 1622 lands, 63 islands, 43 narrows, 854 caves, 49 capes, 24 beaches, 26 coves, 79 rocks, 42 protected areas, 291 lakes, 35 marshlands, 141 dam-lakes, 30 dams, 64 waterfalls, 30 huts, 152 shelters, 263 hotels and motels, 79 camping areas, 46 restaurants/pubs, 82 churches, 317 chappels, 181 monasteries, 4 mosques, 1615 fountains, 1206 water sources, 160 wells, 705 train stations, 106 bus stations, 42 lift stations (the legal only), 14 airfields, 32 ports, 74 crossways, 470 bridges, 125 tunnels, 1549 border points, 17 lighthouses, 49 memorials, 7 towers, 97 ruins, 73 medical places and 160 other points This app is working only in Bulgarian. In registered foreign interest it will be translated in English.
