Hangouts for iPhone/iPad - Hangouts is a cross-platform instant messenger that allows you to keep in touch with friends via one-to-one conversations, group chats and video calls.
With Hangouts you can spice up conversations with emoji and photos, see wen your buddies have read your messages and when they are typing back, send messages to friends even if they are offline, continue conversations across devices, access all your chat history, etc.

· See which of your friends is using Hangouts, and who can be reached right now
· Call phone numbers from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch (free to the US and Canada)
· Make and receive calls using your Google Voice number
· Send and receive animated GIFs that play inline
· Hangouts will temporarily turn down your music (instead of stopping it) when you receive an incoming message
