Haggle is a networking architecture for data-centric opportunistic communication. In laymen's terms, it means that Haggle allows mobile phones to exchange items of data directly between themselves whenever they happen to come in close range. The data to exchange is based on the interests that users express in data. Contact opportunities are unpredictable and make communication inherently asynchronous, rather than synchronous as is the case with the Internet architecture. Haggle supports both Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity.
Haggle has a simple publish/subscribe API that makes it easy to write applications. An application could, for example, exchange pictures or songs between mobile phones based on the users' interests.
PhotoShare is an example Haggle application created to illustrate how easy it is to write Haggle applications using the APIs. PhotoShare exists in two versions: one for Windows mobile and one for Android.
PhotoShare allows a user with a mobile phone to easily share pictures taken with the phone's camera. When taking a picture, the user can annotate it with any number of keywords that will be added to the picture's metadata. The picture is then published in the Haggle network and users that have interests matching the metadata will receive it. The more interests that match a picture's metadata, the higher the likelihood is that the user will receive the picture.

ThumbnailEmailer ThumbnailEmailer allows you to use a thumbnail explorer to preview and send ANY type of file via the selected email account. Select the folder where the files are and tap the 'Thumbnail' button to preview the files. When you tap on the file the file will be sent via email in the selected account. NOTE: If you are offline the program will place the email in the OutBox
ImagesBluetooth ImagesBluetooth is a JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, etc. picture previewer/Bluetooth sender that uses the Windows CE Internal API to view images. Simply select the folder where the images are located and tap on a picture to preview it.
NOTE: Some PocketPC cameras attach EXIF information on the images so select 'Remove EXIF' from the options
PictureSMSer PictureSMSer allows you to send pictures in real time to a person via SMS FTP link. Each time you take a picture with the PocketPC camera that program FTP uploads the picture to a remote FTP server and creates a SMS with the FTP download link. NOTE: The FTP Link includes the username and password to the FTP server
TwitterPictureds TwitterPictureds allows you to share pictures with/without your current GPS via Twitter oAuth app and FTP server. When a new picture is detected in the camera folder the program will FTP upload the picture to the FTP server and create a Tweet on Twitter.com with the HTTP link to download/view the picture
ThumbnailYFrog ThumbnailYFrog is a thumbnail based YFrog.com picture uploader. Select the folder where you have your pictures and tap the button to go into thumbnail preview mode. You can preview the images and when you tap on an image the image will be uploaded to Yfrog.com and a Twitter.com tweet will be made. This service is provided by YFrog
TwitvidOffloader TwitvidOffloader allows you to upload+delete and share videos from your PocketPC camera in real time on the TwitVid.com website. When a new video is detected in the cameras folder the program will upload the video to the Twitvid.com website and deletes the local file (if successful). This service is provided by Twitvid
TwitpicSMSerer TwitpicSMSerer allows you to upload and share pictures via SMS with oAuth via Twitpic.com website. When a new picture is detected in the camera's folder the program will allow you to enter a tweet (if no text setting) and uploads the picture to TwitPic.com and creates a SMS. This service is provided by Twitpic
VideoFTPer VideoFTPer allows you to rapidly upload videos from your PocketPC camera in real time to the public/private folders of a secure remote FTP server. The program checks the storage folder of your PocketPC camera for videos and when a new video is detected in the folder the program then FTP uploads the file to the FTP server
PictureTwitterer PictureTwitterer allows you to share pictures via Twitter and FTP server. When a new picture is detected in the camera folder the program will FTP upload the picture to the FTP server and create a Tweet on Twitter.com with the HTTP link to download/view the picture
