Beacons supports the HAM radio amateur to make use of the International Beacon Project. It helps fo figure out wich beacon is transmitting on wich frequence at any given time. The transmitting radio beacon is displayed on a world map together with a short description. Additionally the distance and bearing from a selected location to the beacon is calculated and shown. If the cell phone supports GPS the actual position can be automatically determinend and displayed as QTH locator. It is also possible to manually synchronize the mobile's time to an external time source.
This program is fully functional without any internet connection. The demoversion shows the label "Demoversion" accross the world map and displays a nag screen every two minutes.
The user interface is optimized for touch screens and requires a display resolution of 480x800. The program requires the MS .NET Compact Framework 3.5
