SoundSeeing Paris The Eiffeltower - The Eiffel Tower is the monument for which France is famous. The fact that Gustave Eiffel was originally a builder of bridges can be seen in the design. He built the tower as an example of high technology for the 1889 World’s Fair. A tower, not of stone, but of iron!
