Due to some feedback I have received regarding Bargain Hunter, it appears that there may be a slight misunderstanding as to the usage of the product. It doesn't search the eBay database and present you with a bargain to buy on eBay. It shows the operator a list of items that are currently on sale based on the search criteria entered.

Example 1

When testing this product, I visited a second-hand market and found a 'Wood & Sons' tea set for sale at £5.00. I used the software to search for 'Wood & Sons' and was presented with a list of items. One of the item pictures looked exactly like the item on the stall and I looked at the detail. The eBay listed item was for two cups and two saucers, and the current bid was for £5.00. Being that the item on the stall also had a teapot, milk jug, sugar bowl and two side plates, I got the immediate impression that I could make a reasonable profit. So I purchased it, placed it on eBay and sold the item for nearly three times what I had paid for it. Without the software, I would have had no idea of it's potential value.

The returned result is not just what the item MAY be worth, or what people are PREPARED to pay for it. It gives what people are ACTUALLY paying for it.

Also, the software may seem to run slow. This is due to the fact that it calls functions on the web, and so is dictated by the internet service you have. 3G would be faster than GPRS, and in turn, GPRS would be faster than GSM.

You may also wish to view documents on the web regarding searching eBay and getting the optimum results for what you require. On antiques and such, search for hall marks, makers stamps e.t.c. rather than general 'Pottery Vase' as this is bound to return thousands of items.
