Any chess player knows the importance of having a clock to hand in order to time each player's moves.
Game Timer gives you the ability to keep track of these times using your Palm device. It couldn't be simpler to use - you have two time displays, one for each player, along with a 'Switch' button. After starting the count, each player hits the 'Switch' button when their move is finished and the other player's counter starts ticking down.
There are a few options you can tweak to customize Game Timer. For instance, you can change the time limit, set handicaps, add a Pause button and configure hardware buttons to control the timers.
In terms of its visuals, Game Timer isn't going to win any beauty contests, and there's not much of a user interface to it. That said, the buttons are large enough to be quickly tapped by a finger.
It's not the most fully featured application in history, but Game Timer might come in handy if you're a regular chess player.

PTimLog PTimLog is one of the most complete time tracking utilities for the PalmOS.
In addition to the standard-functions nearly all other utilities provide (track your working-time and projects), PTimLog offers you information about an important value: your overtime The calculation of overtime can be very complex
Iron Countdown Iron Countdown is a fun little utility I made to celebrate my entry into Ironman Florida. It is very simple: you enter your race and the race date, and Iron Countdown will continually countdown the weeks, days and time to the race.
This is FREEWARE, and the only thing I ask is that you check out my triathlon scheduling and diary program called TriHard
SplitTimer SplitTimer - It's customary to have volunteers with stopwatches at various mile markers in a longer race (10K, Marathon, etc.) calling out "splits" so that racers will know how they're doing. The problem is, the time is probably the least interesting statistic to the oxygen-deprived racer. The really interesting numbers are the pace (e.g
TimeMate TimeMate - This all-in-one application keeps track of your working times, expenses, routes, contacts and general task information. Organizes information by customers and projects. Transfers the data to your desktop applications via conduit module. The advanced user interface provides an efficient and comfortable way to work with
CountDown CountDown - This is an app of the series YANA (yet another nonsense application).
Actually I wrote it for a friend who always counts the days remaining to a special date. May be there is someone who like it :-)
This is may be the simplest (beyond hello world) app I ever came across for the palm os. Just set an date and see how many days remain
TeaManager TeaManager warns you when your tea is ready.
Select a type of tea or enter your predetermined time infusion. TeaManager will issue an alarm sound at the end of infusion and a message "your tea is ready."
Note: The alarm works even if you stop your Palm or if you change the application
