EVDash is a Palm OS application that acts as a set of dash board gauges for electric vehicles. It displays battery pack voltage, amps being drawn from the battery pack, and two different estimates of remaining battery capacity. It works with Xantrex's Link 10, formerly called the E-Meter. Just plug the Palm device into the E-Meter, preferably through an optical isolator to protect the Palm device and start the EVDash program.
- Voltage - Battery pack voltage.
- Amps - Amps being drawn from or put back into the battery pack.
- Capacity based on voltage - Capacity calculated from the pack voltage under very low load. Voltage drops off as pack capacity drops.
- Capacity based on amps - Capacity calculated from the amps drawn integrated over time compared to the pack capacity. The peukert effect is taken into account.
Once you install the EVDash.prc on the Palm pull down the menu and go to the setup window. Enter the pack capacity and the Peukerts constant. The state of charge voltages should be determined experimentally by recording the voltages as the battery pack is completely discharged.
To transfer ASCII data from your Palm, use the standard Hot sync cable and a terminal program. Set the following communications information:
Supported operating systems:
Palm OS 3.x, Palm OS 4.x, Palm OS 5.x

BackLight Info Hack BackLight Info Hack - I found that I can hardly find out if the backlight is on or off under strong light.
So I wrote this stupid software in order to save battery.
Just put it here in case anyone also need it.
I just tested it on my Palm m505. So use at your own risk
EnterHack EnterHack - This hack is useful for persons who like taking graffiti shortcuts to navigate through palm programs.
With EnterHack you can enter a 'linefeed' stroke (the one from upper right to lower left) in the graffiti area to close the active form
PowerSDHC PowerSDHC - As you may be aware, most Palm devices that do not carry a "Treo" or "Centro" brand cannot read or write to the new SDHC cards. This leaves everyone owning such devices behind in terms of storage and costs. SD cards top out at 2GB, while SDHC cards are available at 32GB sizes already, and 16GB cards can be obtained for less than $80 USD
Entropy Hack Entropy Hack gathers randomness or "entropy" by recording system events, then uses this entropy to patch PalmOS' SysRandom() call, to generate high-quality random numbers for any application that needs them
Alarm Repeater Hack Alarm Repeater Hack is a HackMaster hack for PalmOS version 1.0 and version 2.0 that lets you repeat your alarm sound a given number of times.
This is useful because the PalmPilot speaker tends to be on the quiet side. If you keep your device in your pocket, you may not even hear the alarm. By making the alarm repeat longer, there's a better chance that you'll hear it
BigButton BigButton - If you have your hands full and you can't use the stylus to jot down important numbers e.g. when you're driving or on the phone, launch BigButton.
You can easily push the big buttons on your Palm screen using your fingers (pointer or thumb).
No need to pull-out your stylus! It easily memorizes 80 digits that can be seaprated by "
Autoshiftless Autoshiftless - turns the system's Auto Shifting off. It does not have a problem with the program's manual Auto Shifting during creating an item by Graffiti input in the To Do List, Memo Pad, Date Book, as well as Address Book entry. No longer needs of correcting the first letter. This enhances speed of data inputing
Keyclick Hack Keyclick Hack - This hack will eliminate the click system sound, while still allowing beeps for dialogs and prompts.
Makes keyboard input far less noisy.
It now includes a Palmos 5 version, which requires a PalmOS 5 specific hack manager
MouseTrapHack MouseTrapHack will allow the owner of the Palm by a quick stroke to lock the user of the Palm device into the current program until the Security Application's Password is entered.
What's New in This Release:
· Fixed the bugs, involving Global Find.
· Added new option for activation of lock
