The board contains 12 different tiles. The tiles have 4 traits: left-hand shape, left-hand color, right-hand shape, and right-hand color.
Each side comes in 3 different colors: purple, blue, and green.
Each side comes in 3 different shapes: plus, circle, and diamond.
Three tiles are a trio if:
they have the SAME left-hand shape, or the left-hand shapes are ALL DIFFERENT, and
they have the SAME left-hand color, or the left-hand colors are ALL DIFFERENT, and
they have the SAME right-hand shape, or the right-hand shapes are ALL DIFFERENT, and
they have the SAME right-hand color, or the right-hand colors are ALL DIFFERENT.
EXAMPLE TRIOS
There is a help page within the game with many examples of matching trios.
The PDA will jump in and take a trio when the top progress bar runs out. The bottom progress bar shows the time left in the game. Each game lasts a few minutes, but bonus time is added for every trio you find. In Training-Mode, there is no time limit and no PDA opponent.
In Start-Easy-Mode, the game starts with many trios showing. As the game progresses, the trios get more difficult to find, but there is always at least one trio showing. You can uncheck Start-Easy to play the entire game at full difficulty.
Tap 'HINT' and the PDA will help you find a trio. High scores are recorded separately for games using hints vs. hint-free games.
Tap the progress bars at the bottom of the screen to pause the game.
