Stops - The Bus Schedule Database - Stops is a city bus and subway train schedule application for Palm OS handhelds. You can edit and view bus schedule tables on your Palm and find out quickly when the next departure for a given bus stop will be. With the Stops viewer and Route Browser, you can learn at a glance:
# What routes serve this bus stop?
# What bus stops are on this route?
# When is the next bus leaving at this bus stop?
# If I miss the next one, when is the next on after?
# What connections are available at the destination stop?
The Stops main view is a list of all available Route Segments, filtered by the day of the week and by a secondary details filter which lets you view the list by:
# A particular Route.
# A particular Stop.
# Route Segments marked as Favorites.
# By a particular direction N, S, E, or W.
# By a special designation ( *, X, A, or B. )
# All = no filtration.
Tungsten users enjoy stylus-free navigation with the 5-way D-Pad.
The Route Browser is a subscreen of the viewer. It shows all the details of your chosen Route Segment along with which connections you may make at the destination stop. The connections appear as a list and may be loaded into the Browser by tapping them. You can simulate traveling to a given destination through multiple connections (with their respective departure times) in order to plan your day trip. The effective time of day may also be changed in the Browser at any point. The Browser features back and forward buttons similar to a web browser.
The Stops Editor application includes automated departure tables generation and the Clone & Adjust feature, which allows for rapid generation of similar schedule tables.
The Stops Editor app may also be removed from your device when you are through editing your tables, saving 41k of applications storage space. The Stops database uses space saving techniques to conserve memory.
· Includes a sample database and a free 30 day trial period.
