Read@Speed is an all-in-one speed reading trainer, speed tester, and metronome. Gain an edge in your career or studies by reading faster, learning more and saving time.
Training Mode
Three different modes help you train at speeds of up to 2000 words per minute:
Full Page mode displays 12 lines of text.
Scrolling mode displays X lines at a time with vertical text scrolling.
Centered mode displays X lines at a time with text in the center of the screen.
Testing Mode
To monitor how well you are progressing, testing mode enables the facility to time how long it takes you to read the user-defined number of pages. The top 10 speeds are optionally recorded in the Hall of Fame table.
Metronome Mode
Provided to enable users to train with an external reading source such as a book, the metronome option will produce a beat according to your specifications.
RSText2PDB Utility
This Windows utility will convert standard text files into Read@Speed database files, allowing the user to install files of their choice for reading material.
Miscellaneous
AutoOff functionality - lets you determine how long you wish to train for.
Sound/pitch settings - optional sound, or train in silence.
Bookmark facility - save point where you have stopped reading.
Read@Speed is shareware. The trial version is limited to a maximum speed of 400wpm. If this program does not increase your reading speed beyond this restriction, you may continue to use the program free of charge.
