Intruder Alarm - This application works by sending an email notification indicating that the sound in the periphery of the phone has reached above 90 dB.
If the application detects a noise above 90dB you have the option to receive a notification via email. Don't worry; this application will not clog your email account; you will only receive one email every 2 minutes while in use. Furthermore, you can simply remove the email notification service and only monitor how the sound levels increase if you do not wish to receive an email by not entering an email account.
The decibel (dB) is a logarithmic unit of measurement that expresses the magnitude of a physical quantity (usually power or intensity) relative to a specified or implied reference level. In this case we are referring to sound decibels.
This app has several uses other than the detection of intruders; depending on your lifestyle the possibilities are endless! For example, you can put it close to a baby and you will be notified via email every time that the baby cries above 90dB; the perfect baby monitor! Another use could be for a teacher to notice any noise increase during an exam... just think about it!
This app works like a motion alarm, thief alert or burglar alarm. Its a great deterrent for sure, and definitely worth it.
