The company is private and has received funding[7 from NEA[8 and Jafco Ventures.[9 The company closed a Series C round of funding in May 2011 and raised $8 million from previous investors NEA and Jafco.[10
It also lets online publishers and content owners make their video content available on mobile devices through a white-label API program.[11
Founded in 2004, the company was formerly known as blueapple.mobi, before launching as Vuclip in the summer of 2008.[12 The company is located in Milpitas, CA with offices in Beijing.
